Heart of Ice Review by Liz Wiehl

“Heart of Ice” is a story about three best friends, Allison, Nicole, and Cassidy. The three became good friends at their 10 year high school reunion. Allison is a federal prosecutor, Nicole a FBI Agent, and Cassidy a crime news reporter. All have different personalities and problems of their own. Then one day, Cassidy meets the beautiful and charismatic Elizabeth Avery.  Unbeknownst to the three friends, Elizabeth will flip their world upside down and bring them along for a ride.

Personally, I am not much of a crime novel fan. This novel has its ups and downs. For me this novel was not an amazing suspenseful read. I could put it down. Something that kept me reading though was that you get a good perspective of each character. Every chapter changes its point of view so you get to delve deeper into each character and their respective problems in life.  That definitely made it more interesting. One thing that bothered me was the ending seemed a bit rushed. There were some loose strings and what I thought were unfinished stories. Overall I would recommend this book for you crime novel lovers out there but don’t expect some intriguing suspenseful thriller.

There's something that I've been putting off for the longest time. Putting off as in not just doing but even thinking about. It's something that I need to face, something that is on my mind unconsciously but it's also something that terrifies me. You know when you have to do something but you don't want to do it because you're afraid to find out the truth? Or now that you know you have to face it? You don't have a choice anymore. When you don't know, there's always a doubt but hey you don't know so you don't have to do anything about it, right? Knowing just makes it more real. I don't know what to do, it's like, I need to find out but I'm so afraid of knowing...

Book Sneeze!

Through reading some book reviews on Amazon I came across a great opportunity! I never knew this before but through some really great sites you can receive a free book for an honest review! Since reading is one of my favorite pastimes I decided to try this out on a site called Book Sneeze. I haven't requested a book to review yet but will soon so stay tuned for my review! :)

On another note, I am studying for my Spanish test with my good friend Red Bull. Wish me luck!

Dentist Visit

So I'm back from the dentist. Four visits in four weeks. Ouch. I dread going to the dentist, sometimes can't sleep well the night before but I feel better after knowing that my teeth are taken care of. I might have to go back for a root canal depending on the pain but let's hope I don't have to!

I've recently started taking a Spanish 1 class. I feel as though I'm learning a lot better this time around than I did in high school. Probably because I didn't care so much in high school. I don't need this class but I hope to make some use of it. Hopefully one day when I'm working in the medical field.

New blog

Something went haywire with my last blog so here's a new one. A little late right now so I'll be updating later!
