Heart of Ice Review by Liz Wiehl

“Heart of Ice” is a story about three best friends, Allison, Nicole, and Cassidy. The three became good friends at their 10 year high school reunion. Allison is a federal prosecutor, Nicole a FBI Agent, and Cassidy a crime news reporter. All have different personalities and problems of their own. Then one day, Cassidy meets the beautiful and charismatic Elizabeth Avery.  Unbeknownst to the three friends, Elizabeth will flip their world upside down and bring them along for a ride.

Personally, I am not much of a crime novel fan. This novel has its ups and downs. For me this novel was not an amazing suspenseful read. I could put it down. Something that kept me reading though was that you get a good perspective of each character. Every chapter changes its point of view so you get to delve deeper into each character and their respective problems in life.  That definitely made it more interesting. One thing that bothered me was the ending seemed a bit rushed. There were some loose strings and what I thought were unfinished stories. Overall I would recommend this book for you crime novel lovers out there but don’t expect some intriguing suspenseful thriller.
